NunnyEatz — Building a Local Marketplace Operating System
Trivanta designed and built NunnyEatz as a Nuneaton-first multi-tenant marketplace combining customer ordering, merchant operations, connected payments, delivery controls and a pathway into a broader restaurant operating system.
What Trivanta delivered
The challenge
NunnyEatz set out to create a locally focused alternative to large marketplace platforms while giving independent businesses more control over their commercial relationship, customer experience and day-to-day operations. The platform needed to support multiple merchants securely, handle restaurant and retail ordering, route payments to the correct business, manage collection and delivery, and remain extensible enough to support native apps, rewards, local recruitment and future EPOS functionality without splitting the business across disconnected systems.
The solution
Trivanta built NunnyEatz as a multi-tenant marketplace platform with separate customer, merchant, driver and administrator experiences on one shared operating foundation. Merchant onboarding covers business profiles, menus and products, opening hours, allergen information, commercial terms and launch readiness. TrivantaPay uses Stripe Connect infrastructure to route marketplace payments to the correct connected merchant while recording platform fees, settlement data and refund activity. The platform includes collection and merchant-delivery workflows, scheduled NunnyEatz delivery coverage, driver dispatch controls, kitchen display and printing workflows, order-time allergen records and the voluntary NunnyEatz Allergen Passport. Customer features include accounts, ordering, Z Points rewards, ReferZ recommendations and Ziggy support. The same merchant account can also be extended with TrivantaOS, allowing counter, table and telephone orders to use the same menu and kitchen workflow as marketplace orders. The platform has been developed as a Nuneaton-first product with the architecture required to expand into additional local marketplaces over time.
